I've tried to limit the links here to those sites which seem to be more scholarly in their content.  If you're a student who "works" God's Word then these sites will be sure to enhance your on-line library of resources.

STUDY RESOURCES & HELPFUL LINKS

SOFTWARE STUDY RESOURCES

http://www.online-bible.com/index.html

Cross Country Software - Home Page  This is the home page for the On-Line Bible, a comprehensive collection of translations, commentaries, and a host of other necessary study materials, which collection by itself can make any believer a Word-working powerhouse.  This collection of "must have" study tools is virtually free, except for a very modest donation, because of the love of God in the heart of a man named Larry Pierce, and all those who work with and support him.  Their effort is to make the depth of Truth in God's Word available to all who desire to know God and His Word, through making "affordability" a non-issue.  I believe the entire work is available to download piece-meal from this site.  But, pay the $40 or $50 dollars donation and get the CD-ROM and the beautiful printed manual.  If you are serious about working God's Word down to the original language individual word level, comparing about 30 translations simultaneously, with words keyed to Strong's, with the best commentary available, then this needs to be on your PC.

Mr. Magnuson continually updates a very comprehensive web site of "English" idioms.

At this site test your idiom skills, and become more familiar with the vast amount of idioms which have come down into the English melting pot of languages.  This is a very entertaining way to explore "English" idioms.

STONEBRIDGE - Historic Biblical Education

http://www.stonebridgeschool.com/

Mission Statement:

"StoneBridge is a classical Christian School established to restore the Christian character of the Republic. We serve Christian families, enabling each child to reach the fullest expression of his value in Christ through a Biblical Principle Approach education."

Recently on a local TCT Network channel I saw James Arcieri in a discussion explain the biblically-based values and principles followed at StoneBridge school, which are producing amazing results.  If you have a child who has a heart for God, StoneBridge may be right learning environment for your child to discover God, His son Jesus Christ, and his or her full potential.  I was amazed at Mr.s Arcieri's explanations of many biblical learning principle's they utilize, and how they practically apply them in their special learning environment.  Here's the first paragraph from their website explaining what they refer to as 'The Principle Approach'.

The Principle Approach

"StoneBridge School is an American Christian school that uses the Principle Approach. The Principle Approach places the Light of God's Word (His principles) at the HEART of every subject. God's Principles illumine the subject -- revealing God's purposes for it; inspiring reflective thinking and creativity; glorifying God, the Creator, not man and his knowledge and accomplishments -- bringing liberty to learning! Understanding this concept is foundational to valuing this Biblical philosophy of education. Subjects are taught on "the Chain of Christianity," or how the subject has contributed or hindered the Gospel and its government throughout history. Other Christian philosophies take man's knowledge and lacquer it with Scripture verses, emphasizing man's knowledge and requiring the regurgitation of information. This lack of inspiration and reasoning requires no Biblical scholarship and produces a dependent mentality in the student."

THEOMATICS

http://www.theomatics.com/

The Theomatics web site does an excellent job of describing, with an abundance of examples, the numerical structure of the content of God's Word.  This concerns the subject of Gematria.  Subject matters are divinely stamped with numerical quantifications, and coincidentally, so are those subjects which tie into them.  From antiquity, letters of both the Hebrew and Greek alphabets have had numerical equivalents, making it possible for words, sentences, paragraphs, etc. to have numerical equivalents.  How these equivalent's coefficients break down and correspond across subject matter in God's Word is the subject of this remarkable site.  Statistical techniques do not need to be "stretched" to determine there is divine coincidence at work here.  Here's scientific proof that can be brought into the laboratory and put under a microscope!

THE TRANSPARENT ENGLISH BIBLE (TEB)

http://www.centuryone.org/translation.html

I recently was delighted to discover a web sight dedicated to a Bible translation ideology in many ways similar to the goals I'm trying to achieve with my Literal Idiomatic Translation.  Dr. James D. Tabor explains the benefits of a highly literal translation of the original language texts of the Bible.  He refers to the concept of allowing the original language idioms to flow through the language barrier from Hebrew and Greek into English as "transparency".  This translation methodology allows the reader to "see, hear, and even feel, the dynamics of the original text."  Any believing disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ interested in translation issues, don't miss this clinic!

REVELATION

http://www.apocalipsis.org/

Here is a site presenting yet another commentary on the book of Revelation.  The author appears to be scholarly and straight forward in presenting what are not only his personal ideas as to the meanings of various passages, but those of the men and women who have strongly influenced him with their enlightenment of the subject.  This is a well organized site, which offers the bonus of some beautiful artwork.  A visitor to this site will not be disappointed.

WAY OF LIFE LITERATURE

http://www.wayoflife.org/index.html

Brother David W. Cloud has developed a comprehensive website with an emphasis on publishing scholarly articles and other information related to Biblical research and modern translation issues.  Brother Cloud has demonstrated a practical example of living and giving his life for the work of the Lord Jesus Christ.  He has a strong missionary background depending upon the Lord to make a way and help him move God's Word.  His website shows the countless hours of study to bring to the international web community publications which support strong and accurate bible preaching and teaching.  Brother Cloud is obviously a workman of God's Word and his ministry takes a strong and serious stand in support of Biblical research, which is necessary "to keep the faith once delivered to the saints and to avoid the error which is on every hand."  I believe you'll find yourself visiting his Apostasy Database and other sections over and over.  There is much here to help any believer's stand and walk to grow stronger in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Once you visit it you'll bookmark it.

The Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy

http://www.bible-researcher.com/chicago1.html

http://www.reformed.org/documents/index.html?mainframe=http://www.reformed.org/documents/icbi.html

http://www.spurgeon.org/~phil/creeds/chicago.htm

This was the statement that launched the International Council on Biblical Inerrancy, an interdenominational joint effort by hundreds of evangelical scholars and leaders to defend biblical inerrancy against the trend toward liberal and neo-orthodox conceptions of Scripture.

The Statement was produced at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago in the fall of 1978, during an international summit conference of concerned evangelical leaders. It was signed by nearly 300 noted evangelical scholars, including Boice, Norman L. Geisler, John Gerstner, Carl F. H. Henry, Kenneth Kantzer, Harold Lindsell, John Warwick Montgomery, Roger Nicole, J.I. Packer, Robert Preus, Earl Radmacher, Francis Schaeffer, R.C. Sproul, and John Wenham.

The ICBI disbanded in 1988, its work complete. The Council ultimately produced three major statements: this one on biblical inerrancy in 1978, one on biblical hermeneutics in 1982, and one on biblical application in 1986. A published copy of the statement may be found in Carl F. H. Henry in God, Revelation and Authority, vol. 4 (Waco, Tx.: Word Books, 1979), on pp. 211-219.
