JOHN

Chapter 6

Update:  2024.06.23

John 6:1 (LIT/UBS4) With (meta) [the passing, AE] of these things (tauta) the (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) went away (apēlthen) [to, AE] [the] other side (peran) of the (tēs) sea (thalassēs), the one (tēs) of Galilee (Galilaias), the one (tēs) of Tiberias (Tiberiados).

John 6:2 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) [a] large (polus) crowd (ochlos) was following (ēkolouthei) him (autō), because (hoti) they were observing (etheōroun) the (ta) signs (sēmeia) which (ha) he was doing (epoiei) over (epi) [the sake, AE] of the ones (tōn) being disabled (asthenountōn).

John 6:3 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) Jesus (Iēsous) went up (anēlthen) into (eis) the (to) mountain (oros), and (kai) there (ekei) he was causing himself to sit down (ekathēto) with (meta) the (tōn) disciples (mathētōn) of him (autou).

John 6:4 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) the (to) Passover (Pascha) was being (ēn) near (engus), the (hē) feast (heortē) of the (tōn) Judeans (Ioudaiōn).

John 6:5 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), the (ho) Jesus (Iēsous), he having lifted up (eparas) the (tous) eyes (ophthalmous) and (hai) having made himself [a] spectator (theasamenos), because (hoti) [a] large (polus) crowd (ochlos) causes itself to come (erchetai) to (pros) him (auton), he says (legei) to (pros) Philip (Philippon), “From where (pothen) may we go to market to buy (agorasōmen) loaves of bread (artous), in order that (hina) these ones (houtoi) may eat (phagōsin)?”

John 6:6 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) this (touto) he was saying (elegen), testing (peirazōn) him (auton);

because (gar) he (autos) had seen (ēdei) what (ti) he was being about (emellen) to do (poiein).

John 6:7 (LIT/UBS4) The (ho) Philip (Philippos) was caused to make [a] decision (apekrithē) for him (autō), “In order that (hina) each one (hekastos) may receive (labē) some (ti) little bit (brachu), loaves of bread (artoi) [costing, AE] two hundreds (diakosiōn) of denarii (dēnariōn) absolutely would not satisfy (ouk arkousin) them (autois)!"

John 6:8 (LIT/UBS4) One (heis) out (ek) of the (tōn) disciples (mathētōn) of him (autou), Andrew (Andreas), the (ho) brother (adelphos) of Simon (Simōnos) Peter (Petrou), says (legei) to him (autō),

John 6:9 (LIT/UBS4) “There is (estin) [a] child (paidarion) here (hōde) who (hos) has (echei) five (pente) barley (krithinous) loaves of bread (artous), and (kai) two (duo) little fishes (opsaria).

BUT (alla), these (tauta) are (estin) what (ti), into (eis) so many (tosoutous)!?”

John 6:10 (LIT/UBS4) The (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) enunciated (eipen), “Make (poiēsate) the (tous) mortals (anthrōpous) to fall up377 (anapesein).”

But (de) there was being (ēn) [a] large (polus) pasture (chartos) in (en) the (tō) place (topō)

Therefore (oun), the (hoi) males (andres) fell up377 (anepesan).

The (ton) number (arithmon) [was] as (hōs) five thousands (pentakischilioi).

John 6:11 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), the (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) took (elaben) the (tous) loaves of bread (artous) and (kai) having given thanks well (eucharistēsas), he distributed (diedōken) [them, AE] to the ones (tois) being caused to lie up345 (anakeimenois);

and (kai) likewise (homoiōs) out (ek) of the (tōn) little fishes (opsariōn), [he distributed, RE] [them, AE] as much as (hoson) they were desiring (ēthelon).

John 6:12 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) as (hōs) they were filled (eneplēsthēsan) he says (legei) to the (tois) disciples (mathētais) of him (autou), “Bring together (sunagagete) the (ta) broken pieces (klasmata) abounding (perisseusanta), in order that (hina) not (mē) anything (ti) may cause itself to be lost (apolētai).”

John 6:13 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), they brought together (sunēgagon) and (kai) loaded (egemisan) twelve (dōdeka) baskets (kophinous) of broken pieces (klasmatōn) out (ek) of the (tōn) five (pente) loaves of bread (artōn) of the (tōn) barley (krithinōn), which (ha) abounded (eperisseusan) to the ones (tois) having eaten (bebrōkosin)!

John 6:14 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), the (hoi) mortals (anthrōpoi) having seen (idontes) what (ho) sign (sēmeion) the (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) did (epoiēsen), they were saying (elegon) that (hoti) this one (houtos) is (estin) truly (alēthōs) the (ho) prophet (prophētēs), the one (ho) causing himself to come (erchomenos) into (eis) the (ton) cosmos (kosmon)!

John 6:15 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), Jesus (Iēsous) having known (gnous) that (hoti) they are about (mellousin) to cause themselves to come (erchesthai), and (kai) to snatch (harpazein) him (auton) in order that (hina) they may make (poiēsōsin) [him, AE] [a] king (basilea), he made up room402 (anechōrēsen) again (palin) into (eis) the (to) mountain (oros), he (autos) alone (monon).

John 6:16 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) as (hōs) evening (opsia) caused itself to come to pass (egeneto) the (hoi) disciples (mathētai) of him (autou) walked down (katebēsan) over (epi) by the (tēn) sea (thalassan).

John 6:17 (LIT/UBS4) And (kai) they having embarked (embantes) into (eis) [a] ship (ploion) they were causing themselves to come (ērchonto) [to, AE] [the] other side (peran) of the (tēs) sea (thalassēs), into (eis) Capernaum (Kapharnaoum)

And (kai) it had already become (ēdē egegonei) dark (skotia), and (kai) the (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) had absolutely not yet come (oupō elēluthei) to (pros) them (autous)!

John 6:18 (LIT/UBS4) And (te) the (hē) sea (thalassa) was thoroughly being awoken (diegeireto) by [a] great (megalou) wind (anemou) blowing (pneontos).

John 6:19 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), they having driven [the ship, v17, RE] (elēlakotes) as (hōs) [far as, AE] twenty (eikosi) five (pente) or (ē) thirty (trikonta) stadiums (stadious), they observe (theōrousin) the (ton) Jesus (Iēsoun) walking around (peripatounta) upon (epi) the (tēs) sea (thalassēs), and (kai) causing himself to become (ginomenon) near (engus) the (tou) ship (ploiou).

And (kai) they were caused to be in fear (ephobēthēsan).

John 6:20 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) the (ho) [Jesus, v19, RE] says (legei) to them (autois), “I (egō) am (eimi) [Jesus, v19, RE]!

Do not be made fearful (mē phobeisthe).”

John 6:21 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), they were desiring (ēthelon) to take (labein) him (auton) into (eis) the (to) ship (ploion).

And (kai) the (to) ship (ploion) into (eis) which (hēn) they were getting underway (hupēgon) caused itself to become (egeneto) straightaway (eutheōs) upon (epi) the (tēs) land (gēs).

John 6:22 (LIT/UBS4) Upon the morrow (tē epaurion) the (ho) crowd (ochlos), the one (ho) having stood (hestēkōs) [on, AE] [the] other side (peran) of the (tēs) sea (thalassēs), they saw (eidon) that (hoti) another (allo) small ship (ploiarion) was absolutely not being (ouk ēn) there (ekei), if (ei) not (mē) one (hen);

and (kai) that (hoti) the (tois) disciples (mathētais) of him (autou) absolutely did not enter in together with (ou suneisēlthen) the (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) into (eis) the (to) ship (ploion)!

BUT (alla), the (hoi) disciples (mathētai) of him (autou) were gone away (apēlthon) alone (monoi)!

John 6:23 (LIT/UBS4) Other (alla) small ships (ploi) came (ēlthen) out (ek) of Tiberias (Tiberiados), near (engus) the (tou) place (topou) where (hopou) they ate (ephagon) the (ton) bread (arton) of the (tou) lord (kuriou), having given thanks well (eucharistēsantos).

John 6:24 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), when (hote) the (ho) crowd (ochlos) saw (eiden) that (hoti) Jesus (Iēsous) is (estin) absolutely not (ouk) there (ekei), but absolutely neither (oude) the (hoi) disciples (mathētai) of him (autou), they (autoi) embarked (enebēsan) into (eis) the (ta) small ships (ploiaria) and (kai) came (ēlthon) into (eis) Capernaum (kapharnaoum) searching (zētountes) for the (ton) Jesus (Iēsoun)!

John 6:25 (LIT/UBS4) And (kai) having found (heurontes) him (auton) [on the, AE] other side (peran) of the (tēs) sea (thalassēs), they enunciated (eipon) to him (autō), “Rabbi (rhabbi), when (pote) have you become (gegonas) here (hōde)?”

John 6:26 (LIT/UBS4) The (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) was caused to make [a] decision (apekrithē) for them (autois), and (kai) he enunciated (eipen), “Truly (amēn), truly (amēn) I say (legō) to you (humin), you search (zēteite) for me (me) absolutely not (ouch) because (hoti) you saw (eidete) signs (sēmeia), BUT (all’), because (hoti) you ate (ephagete) out (ek) of the (tou) loaves of bread (artōn), and (kai) you were fed (echortasthēte)!

John 6:27 (LIT/UBS4) Work (ergazesthe) not (mē) for the (tēn) food (brōsin), the (tēn) [kind, AE] you yourself are losing (apollumenēn).

BUT (alla), [work, RE] for the (tēn) food (brōsin), the (tēn) [kind, AE] remaining (menousan) into (eis) ageless (aiōnion) life (zōēn), which (hēn) the (ho) Son (huios) of the (tou) Mortal (anthrōpou) shall give (dōsei) to you (humin)!

Because (gar) this (touton) [kind, RE] the (ho) Father (patēr), the (ho) God (theos), sealed (esphragisen).”

(Jesus Christ always stated that the Father, his Father, is the God.  Jesus Christ never stated that he himself is the Father or the God.  See John 5:18, 6:27, 45-46, 8:41-42, 10:36, 13:3, 20:17;  The apostles always wrote that Jesus' heavenly Father was the God, and that Jesus Christ was his firstborn son whom he sent into the cosmos, describing God the Father and his firstborn son as two separate and distinct beings, describing the son being subordinate to the Father.)

John 6:28 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), they enunciated (eipon) to (pros) him (auton), “What (ti) may we do (poiōmen) in order that (hina) we may cause ourselves to work (ergazōmetha) the (ta) works (erga) of the (tou) God (theou)?”

John 6:29 (LIT/UBS4) The (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) was caused to make [a] decision (apekrithē), and (kai) he enunciated (eipen) to them (autois), “This (touto) is (estin) the (to) work (ergon) of the (tou) God (theou), that (hoti) you may believe (pisteuēte) into (eis) whom (hon) that one (ekeinos) sent (apesteilen).”

John 6:30 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), they enunciated (eipon) to him (autō), “Therefore (oun), what (ti) sign (sēmeion) do you do (poieis su), in order that (hina) we may see (idōmen) [it, AE], and (kai) we may believe (pisteusōmen) you (soi)?

What (ti) [sign, RE] do you cause yourself to work (ergazē)?

John 6:31 (LIT/UBS4) The (hoi) fathers (pateres) of us (hēmōn) ate (ephagon) the (to) manna (manna) in (en) the (tē) desolate place (erēmō), down as (kathos) it is (estin) having been written (gegrammenon), ‘He gave (edōken) to them (autois) bread (arton) out (ek) of the (tou) heaven (ouranou) to eat (phagein).’”

John 6:32 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), the (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) enunciated (eipen) to them (autois), “Truly (amēn), truly (amēn) I say (legō) to you (humin), Moses (Mōusēs) has absolutely not given (ou dedōken) to you (humin) the (ton) bread (arton) out (ek) of the (tou) heaven (ouranou)!

BUT (all’), the (ho) Father (patēr) of me (mou) gives (didōsin) to you (humin) the (ton) bread (arton) out (ek) of the (tou) heaven (ouranou), the (ton) true (alēthinon) [bread, RE]!

John 6:33 (LIT/UBS4) Because (gar) the (ho) bread (artos) of the (tou) God (theou) is (estin) the (ho) [son, v27, RE] stepping down (katabainōn) out (ek) of the (tou) heaven (ouranou) and (kai) giving (didous) life (zōēn) to the (tō) cosmos (kosmō).”

(For the Word’s heavenly pre-existence as a spirit-based being see Prov. 8:22-31; Dan. 3:25-28; John 1:1-2, 14, 30, 3:13, 31, 6:33, 38, 41, 50-51, 58-62, 8:23-26, 58, 13:3, 16:27-30, 17:5-8, 24; Rom. 8:29; 1 Cor. 10:4, 9, 15:47; Gal. 4:1-5; Eph. 4:8-10, Phil. 2:6-7; Col. 1:15; Heb. 1:4-6, 3:2; 1 Pet. 1:20; 1 John 1:2; Rev. 3:14)

John 6:34 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), they enunciated (eipon) to (pros) him (auton), “Lord (kurie), always (pantote) give (dos) this (touton), the (ton) bread (arton), to us (hēmin).”

John 6:35 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) the (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) enunciated (eipen) to them (autois), “I (egō) am (eimi) the (ho) [bread, RE], the (tēs) bread (artos) of life (zōēs)

The one (ho) causing himself to come (erchomenos) to (pros) me (eme), no (mē), absolutely not (ou) may he pine (peinasē)!

And (kai) the one (ho) believing (pisteuōn) upon (epi) me (eme), no (mē), he shall absolutely not thirst (ou dipsēsei) ever, at any time (pōpote)!

John 6:36 (LIT/UBS4) BUT (alla), I enunciated (eipon) [this, AE] to you (humin) because (hoti) you also have gazed at (kai heōrakate) me (eme), and (kai) you absolutely do not believe (ou pisteuete)!

John 6:37 (LIT/UBS4) Everyone (pan) whom (ho) the (ho) Father (patēr) gives (didōsin) to me (moi) shall arrive (hēxei) to (pros) me (eme)

And (kai) the one (ton) causing himself to come (erchomenon) to (pros) me (eme), no (mē), absolutely not may I throw (ou ekbalō) [that one, AE] out (exō)!

John 6:38 (LIT/UBS4) Because (hoti), I have stepped down (katabebēka) from (apo) the (tou) heaven (ouranou) absolutely not (ouch) in order that (hina) I may do (poiō) the (to) desire (thelēma), the (to) [desire, RE] of me (emon), BUT (alla), the (to) desire (thelēma) of the (tou) [Father, v17, RE] having sent (pempsantos) me (me)!

(For Jesus Christ desiring not to do his own will, but the will of his heavenly Father, see Mat. 26:42; Luke 22:42; John 4:34, 5:30, 6:38.)

John 6:39 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) this (touto) is (estin) the (to) desire (thelēma) of the (tou) [Father, v17, RE] having sent (pempsantos) me (me):

that (hina) everyone (pan) which (ho) he has given (dedōken) to me (moi) I may not lose (mē apolesō) [anyone, AE] out (ex) of it (autou), BUT (alla), [in order that, RE] I may stand him up (anastēsō auto) in (en) the (tē) last (eschatē) day (hēmera)!

John 6:40 (LIT/UBS4) Because (gar) this (touto) is (estin) the (to) desire (thelēma) of the (tou) Father (patros) of me (mou):

that (hina) everyone (pas), the one (ho) observing (theōrōn) the (ton) son (huion) and (kai) believing (pisteuōn) into (eis) him (auton), he may hold (echē) ageless (aiōnion) life (zōēn)

And (kai) I (egō) shall stand him up (anastēsō auton) in (en) the (tē) last (eschatē) day (hēmera)!”

(For a beginning offering see John 6:35-40; Rom. 8:23, 11:16, 16:5; 1 Cor. 15:20-23, 16:15; Heb. 11:1-6; James 1:17-19; Rev. 14:4)

John 6:41 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), the (hoi) Judeans (Ioudaioi) were murmuring (egonguzon) about (peri) him (autou), because (hoti) he enunciated (eipen), ‘I (egō) am (eimi) the (ho) bread (artos), the (ho) [bread, RE] having stepped down (katabas) out (ek) of the (tou) heaven (ouranou)’.

John 6:42 (LIT/UBS4) And (kai) they were saying (elegon), “Is (estin) this (houtos) [bread, v41, RE] absolutely not (ou) Jesus (Iēsous), the (ho) son (huios) of Joseph (Iōsēph), of whom (hou) we (hēmeis) have seen (oidamen) the (ton) father (patera) and (kai) the (tēn) mother (mētera)!?

Now (nun) how (pōs) does he say (legei) that (hoti), ‘Out (ek) of the (tou) heaven (ouranou) I have stepped down (katabebēka)?’”

John 6:43 (LIT/UBS4) Jesus (Iēsous) was caused to make [a] decision (apekrithē), and (kai) he enunciated (eipen) to them (autois), “Do not (mē) murmur (gonguzete) with (met’) one another (allēlōn).

John 6:44 (LIT/UBS4) Absolutely not one (oudeis) can inherently power himself (dunatai) to come (elthein) to (pros) me (me) if not perhaps (ean mē) the (ho) Father (patēr), the one (ho) having sent (pempsas) me (me), may draw (helkusē) him (auton) [to me, RE]!

And I (kagō) shall stand him up (anastēsō auton) in (en) the (tē) last (eschatē) day (hēmera).

(In Rom. 2:4 apostle Paul says that the wealth of God’s benevolence, self-restraint and patience toward an unbeliever, leads an unbeliever into repentance to God.  In Acts 20:21 disciple Luke records Paul stating that repentance is to be to God, and then they are to believe the Evangelism of Jesus Christ. In Acts 11:6 disciple Luke records apostle Peter stating that it is God who grants repentance into life. In 2 Tim. 2:25 apostle Paul states also that it is God who grants repentance, but here into experiential knowledge of Truth. In John 6:44 Jesus states that those who have repented to his heavenly Father are then sent to him, Christ Jesus, to believe in his Evangelism. In John 14:6 apostle John records Jesus Christ stating that those who have believed his Evangelism are then sent back to his heavenly Father, presumably now as sons of God. Jesus Christ having baptized them in God’s gift of his paternal holy Spirit (Mat. 3:11), the believing disciples, now as sons of God, now have the ability to approach the God, who is now their heavenly Father (Eph. 2:17, 3:11).

In Summary: In Rom. 2:4 God draws unbelievers to himself to grant them repentance.  In John 6:44 then God sends them to his son to learn discipleship, to hear and believe Jesus' Evangelism. Then in John 14:6 Jesus Christ sends them back to his heavenly Father presumably as newborn sons of God, they having received a new birth above in God’s gift of his paternal holy Spirit, to now be taught of God and to learn sonship.  Jesus Christ, their brother, teaches believers discipleship.  God, their heavenly Father, teaches them sonship.)

John 6:45 (LIT/UBS4) It is (estin) having been written (gegrammenon) in (en) the (tois) prophets (prophētais), ‘And (kai) they shall cause themselves to be (esontai) all (pantes) ones taught (didaktoi) of God (theou, YHWH).’

(See Isa. 54:13; Jer. 31:31-34)

Everyone (pas), the one (ho) having heard (akousas) alongside3844, 3936 (para) of the (tou) Father (patros) and (kai) having learned (mathōn), he causes himself to come (erchetai) to (pros) me (eme).

(For all those who have received a new birth above in God’s promised gift of his paternal holy Spirit (Lev. 26:11-12; John 3:3-8; Acts 1:4; 2 Cor. 6:16-18; *1 Pet. 1:23), and for those paternal sons being taught by God (YHWH) himself, see Isa. 54:13; Jer. 31:31-34; Luke 12:12; John 5:19-20, 6:45, 14:26, 15:26, 16:13-14; 1 Cor. 1:4-8, 2:10, 12:8; 2 Cor. 5:19; Gal. 1:12; Eph. 4:20-21; 1 Thes. 4:9; 2 Tim. 2:7; 2 Tim. 2:7; Heb. 8:8-12, 10:16-17; James 1:5-6; 1 John 2:27, 5:20)

John 6:46 (LIT/UBS4) Because (hoti) absolutely not (ouch) anyone (tis) has gazed at (heōraken) the (ton) Father (patera), if (ei) not (mē) the (ho) [son, v42, RE] being (ōn) alongside3844, 3936 (para) of the (tou) God (theou)

This (houtos) [son, v42, RE] has gazed at (heōraken) the (ton) Father (patera).

John 6:47 (LIT/UBS4) Truly (amēn), truly (amēn) I say (legō) to you (humin), the one (ho) believing (pisteuōn) holds (echei) ageless (aiōnion) life (zōēn)!

John 6:48 (LIT/UBS4) I (ego) am (eimi) the (ho) bread (artos) of the (tēs) life (zōēs).

John 6:49 (LIT/UBS4) The (hoi) fathers (pateres) of you (humōn) ate (ephagon) the (to) manna (manna) in (en) the (tē) desolate place (erēmō), and (kai) died away (apethanon).

John 6:50 (LIT/UBS4) This (houtos) [manna, v49, RE] is (estin) the (ho) bread (artos), the (ho) [son, v42, RE] stepping down (katabainōn) out (ek) of the (tou) heaven (ouranou), in order that (hina) anyone (tis) may eat (phagē) out (ex) of him (autou) and (kai) may not die away (mē apothanē).

John 6:51 (LIT/UBS4) I (egō) am (eimi) the (ho) bread (artos), the (ho) living (zōn) [manna, v49, RE], the (ho) [son, v42, RE] having stepped down (katabas) out (ek) of the (tou) heaven (ouranou).

If perhaps (ean) anyone (tis) may eat (phagē) out (ek) of the (tou) bread (artou) of this (toutou), he shall live (zēsei) into (eis) the (ton) age (aiōna).

And (kai) the (ho) bread (artos), but (de) the (hē) flesh (sarx) of me (mou) which (hon) I shall give (dōsō), is (estin) over (huper) [the sake, AE] of the (tēs) life (zōēs) of the (tou) cosmos (kosmou).”

John 6:52 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), the (hoi) Judeans (Ioudaioi) were being caused to fight (emachonto) toward (pros) one another (allēlous), saying (legontes), “How (pōs) [can, AE] this one (houtos) inherently power himself (dunatai) to give (dounai) to us (hēmin) the (tēn) flesh (sarx) of him (autou) to eat (phagein)!?”

John 6:53 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), the (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) enunciated (eipen) to them (autois), “Truly (amēn), truly (amēn) I say (legō) to you (humin), if perhaps (ean) you may not eat (mē phagēte) the (tēn) flesh (sarka) of the (tou) Son (huiou) of the (tou) Mortal (anthrōpou), and (kai) you may [not, RE] drink (piēte) the (to) blood (haima) of him (autou), you absolutely do not hold (ouk echete) life (zōēn) in (en) yourselves (heautois)!

John 6:54 (LIT/UBS4) The one (ho) gnawing (trōgōn) the (tēn) flesh (sarka) of me (mou), and (kai) drinking (pinōn) the (to) blood (haima) of me (mou), holds (echei) ageless (aiōnion) life (zōēn).

And I (kagō) shall stand him up (anastēsō auton) [in, AE] the (tē) last (aschatē) day (hēmera).

John 6:55 (LIT/UBS4) Because (gar) the (hē) flesh (sarx) of me (mou) is (estin) true (alēthēs) food (brōsis), and (kai) the (to) blood (haima) of me (mou) is (estin) true (alēthēs) drink (posis).

John 6:56 (LIT/UBS4) The one (ho) gnawing (trōgōn) the (tēn) flesh (sarka) of me (mou), and (kai) drinking (pinōn) the (to) blood (haima) of me (mou), he stays (menei) in (en) me (emoi), and I (kagō) [stay, RE] in (en) him (auton).

John 6:57 (LIT/UBS4) Down according to as (kathōs) the (ho) living (zōn) Father (patēr) sent (apesteilen) me (me), and I (kagō) live (zō) through (dia) the (ton) Father (patera), the one (ho) also (kai) gnawing (trōgōn) me (me), that one also (kakeinos) shall live (zēsei) through (di’) me (eme).

John 6:58 (LIT/UBS4) This (houtos) [manna, v49, RE] is (estin) the (ho) bread (artos), the (ho) [son, v53, RE] having stepped down (katabas) out (ex) of heaven (ouranou);

absolutely not (ou) [manna, v49, RE] down according to as (kathōs) the (hoi) fathers (pateres) ate (ephagon), and (kai) they died away (apethanon)!

The one (ho) gnawing (trōgōn) this (touton) [manna, v49, RE], the (ton) bread (arton) [of me, v55, RE], he shall live (zēsei) into (eis) the (ton) age (aiōna)!”

John 6:59 (LIT/UBS4) These things (tauta) he enunciated (eipen) in (en) [a] synagogue (sunagōgē), teaching (didaskōn) in (en) Capernaum (Kapharnaoum).

John 6:60 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), many (polloi) out (ek) of the (tōn) disciples (mathētōn) of him (autou), having heard (akousantes), they enunciated (eipan), “The (ho) Word (logos) is (estin) [a] hard one (sklēros).

Who (tis) can inherently power himself (dunatai) to hear (akouein) this (houtos) of him (autou)?”

John 6:61 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) the (ho) Jesus (Iēsous), having seen (eidōs) in (en) himself (heautō) that (hoti) the (hoi) disciples (mathētai) of him (autou) are murmuring (gonguzousin) about (peri) this (toutou), he enunciated (eipen) to them (autois), “This (touto) you (humas) scandalize (skandalizei)?

John 6:62 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), [what, AE] if perhaps (ean) you may observe (theōrēte) the (ton) Son (huion) of the (tou) Mortal (anthrōpou) stepping up (anabainonta) where (hopou) he was being (ēn) the (to) previous (proteron) [time, AE]?

John 6:63 (LIT/UBS4) The (to) Spirit (pneuma) is (estin) the (to) [life, v54, RE] making one alive (zōopoioun).

The (ta) statements (rhēmata) which (ha) I (egō) have spoken (lelalēka) to you (humin), [each statement, RE] is (estin) Spirit (pneuma), and (kai) [each statement, RE] is (estin) life (zōe)!

John 6:64 (LIT/UBS4) BUT (all’) there are (eisin) some (tines) out (ex) of you (humōn) who (hoi) absolutely do not believe (ou pisteuousin)!”

Because (gar) the (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) had seen (ēdei), out (ex) of [the] beginning (archēs), some (tines) [who, RE] are (eisin) the ones (hoi) not (mē) believing (pisteuontes), and (kai) who (tis) is (estin) the one (ho) passing him aside (paradōsōn auton).

(For ones whose god is their belly, see John 6:25-64; Phil. 3:18-19)

John 6:65 (LIT/UBS4) And (kai) he was saying (elegen), “Through (dia) [the sake, AE] of this (touto) I have stated (eirēka) to you (humin) that (hoti) absolutely not one (oudeis) can inherently power himself (dunatai) to come (elthein) to (pros) me (me) if not perhaps (ean mē) it may be (ē) it having been given (dedomenon) to him (autō) out (ek) of the (tou) Father (patros)!”

John 6:66 (LIT/UBS4) Out (ek) of this (toutou) many (polloi) out (ek) of the (tōn) disciples (mathētōn) of him (autou) were gone away (apēlthon) into (eis) the ones (ta) behind (opisō)

And (kai) they were absolutely no longer yet walking around (ouketi periepatoun) with (met’) him (autou)!

John 6:67 (LIT/UBS4) Therefore (oun), the (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) enunciated (eipen) to the (tois) twelve (dōdeka), “You (humeis) also (kai) do not desire (mē thelete) to get underway (hupagein)!?”

John 6:68 (LIT/UBS4) Simon (Simōn) Peter (Petros) was caused to make [a] decision (apekrithē) for him (autō), “Lord (kurie), to (pros) whom (tina) shall we cause ourselves to go (apeleusometha)?

John 6:70 (LIT/UBS4) The (ho) Jesus (Iēsous) was caused to make [a] decision (apekrithē) for them (autois), “Did I absolutely not cause myself to call out (ouk egō exelexamēn) you (humas), the (tous) twelve (dōdeka), and (kai) one (heis) out (ex) of you (humōn) is (estin) [a] diabolical one (diabolos)!?”

John 6:71 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) he was speaking (elegen) of the (ton) Judas (Ioudan) of Simon (Simōnos), of Iscariot (Iskariōtou), because (gar) this one (houtos), one (heis) out (ek) of the (tōn) twelve (dōdeka), was being about (emellen) to pass him aside (paradidonai auton).
